Payment Dates & Procedures

Billing

Columbia University bills students for tuition and fees according to the schedule below. When a statement is generated, an email notification is sent directly to your Columbia email account. You can also access a copy of the bill through Student Services Online (SSOL)The University does not mail paper bills.

After the first statement is generated in June, bills will be generated periodically if you make schedule changes or if you carry an account balance.

* The application fee for the Certifications in UN Studies, Critical Issues for International Relations, and Human Rights is $80.

** University Services and Support Fee: All students registered on the Morningside Campus shall be charged a University Services and Support Fee, calculated based on the student’s registration. Full-time students are those registered for 12 or more points in the term. This fee is not assessed to American Language Program students or School of Professional Studies Summer Program for High School students. This fee combines the Recreational Facilities Fee and Lerner Fee, Information Technology Fee (all students charged, including part-time), and the Cross-Cutting Multi-School Activities Fee. This fee is subject to Board of Trustee approval and may change.

 ***International Services Fee: This fee is mandatory for all international students.

****The Health and Related Services Fee is required of all students. Includes services provided on campus as well as integrated off-campus services. See health.columbia.edu for details. Students who pay the Health Service Fee in Spring are not required to pay the Health Service Fee in Summer. The Summer Trimester Fee applies to new Summer Trimester students only.

Graduate students in Ph.D. or M.A. programs at Columbia’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences who wish to take summer classes should review the GSAS Summer Session Student Guide for registration and tuition details.
