Students are permitted to enroll in 1 Focus Area per summer session; with a max total of no more than 2 for the full summer term.
Students must indicate their participation by Friday, 5/23, 12:00 p.m. EST (Session A) or Thursday, 7/3, 12:00 p.m. EST (Session B) and should have enrolled in the Focus Area courses by 9:30 p.m. EST. Once the deadline for enrollment has passed each summer session, students will not be able to participate in the Focus Area.
No, students are not able to retroactively enroll in Focus Areas to be eligible to receive the Certification of Participation for a focus area. Students must complete the coursework within one summer to be eligible for the Certification of Participation for a Focus Area.

There is no minimum GPA requirement for admission. Applicants apply to the appropriate Visiting Student program based on their education level, Visiting Undergraduate, Visiting Graduate, Visiting Postbaccalaureate, and identify their interest in a Focus Area on the application.

Yes, students will be able add/drop courses through the Change of Program. To remain eligible for the Focus Area, they must remain enrolled in two approved courses.
Students must resolve all incomplete grades before the start of the Fall 2025 semester (September 3rd) to receive the Certification of Participation.
Students will receive an email with instructions to download a digital copy of their Certification of Participation after grades are posted. Only students with good academic and disciplinary standing will receive a Certification of Participation.
Students will be notified via email that they are eligible to receive a Focus Area LinkedIn Badge. Only students with good academic and disciplinary standing, and attended two Focus Area co-curricular events, will receive a Focus Area LinkedIn Badge.
Students who are admitted into a Focus Area are eligible to apply for an Ambassadorship that provides a full on-campus housing stipend or flex dollars to spend at participating businesses.
